SCOTT, BESSIE BARBARA ELIZABETH (WALLACE-SPROULL) – Bessie Scott of Upper Hainesville, NB passed away unexpectedly on December 8, 2014 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, surrounded by heChalmers Hospital, surrounded by her family. Bessie was born at Upper Hainesville, NB in 1927, a daughter of the late Howard and May (Blaney) Wallace. She was a retired school teacher who recently volunteered for the Elementary Literacy Program. Bessie loved to garden and to create beautiful handwork. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Bessie was well known by many for her gentle ways, her loving spirit and her boundless energy. She is survived by her children, Grace Pike (Waldo), Temperance Vale, NB, Melbourne Sproull (Dale), Swana Scott (David), Wilma Gilchrist (Ian), all of Fredericton, NB and Jackie Sproull, Upper Hainesville, NB; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two sisters-in-law, Kathleen Wallace and Doreen Wallace; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Cecil Sproull; her second husband, Cyril Scott; a sister, Myrtle Bradley and two brothers, Merle and Robert Wallace.

Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 1 pm from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ed Guiggey officiating. A reception will follow at the funeral home. Interment at the Ridgeview Cemetery in Upper Hainesville.
