Cedric “Bud” H. Blacklock 1937 – 2015

Cedric “Bud” H. Blacklock, 78, of Salisbury and formerly of Steeves Mountain, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, April 5, 2015. Born in Little Shemogue, he was the son of the late Earl and Hilda (Burns) Blacklock. Bud was retired from life insurance sales with 15 years’ service. He was a member of Keith Lodge #23, F. & A.M., Luxor Shrine Temple, Saint John, member and Past President of the Moncton Shrine Club, Charter Member and Past President of the Riverview Lions Club and a former member of the Salisbury Seniors Club. He was active in the New Brunswick Antique Auto Club, the Ford Country Club and was associated with Alcoholics Anonymous for 33 years.
Bud will be sadly missed by his wife, Louise (Durgan) Blacklock; children, Linda M. Stone of Victoria, BC, Donna L. Brodeur (Maurice) of Edmonton, AB, Douglas H. Blacklock (Teresa) of Woodstock; stepchildren, Mary Neilson (Lawrence) of Vancouver, BC, Michael Best (Brenda) of St. Andrews and Thomas Best of Smithers, BC; grandchildren, Jordan, Matthew, Leah, Nicole, Shawna and Laura; step grandchildren, Andrew and Amy; two great granddaughters, Hailey and Brielle; sisters, Madeline “Memi” Anderson (Dean) of Nanaimo, BC, Anne Osburne (Jim) of Ontario; brother, Lyman Blacklock (Cathy) of Barrie, ON; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, John.

His funeral was held at Fergusons Funeral Home on April 10th. Interment, Fernwood Cemetery, Port Elgin and St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery, St. Andrews, NB.
